Statement
I make designs. I love creating something out of nothing and I love watching people respond. The ability to compose, manipulate, and transform ideas in order to create something, more often than not, beautiful and interesting. I like to shift between reality and illusion. I enjoy teetering on the fence of graphic design and illustration. I enjoy making people think, smile, and appreciate. These are just some of the reasons I became a designer.
Design is a platform for me to express myself and my values; hard work, desire to make a difference, and what you put in is what you get out. Music, fashion, and cultural diversity are my main sources of inspiration. I look to them as an outlet to express myself creatively. These outlets have, at some point, carried me through times of greatness and of emptiness, but they have always provided me with clarity and direction when most needed. Many times they have set the foundation for, and guided me through, a project. I believe that in the process of exploring and creating new work, I should learn something new and important about myself, develop great relationships, create awareness among my peers and the public, and forge something moving and memorable... all while having a little fun along the way.
As I finish up my last year of graduate school at ACAD, I'm looking to participate in more shows, collaborate with other artists, and refine my style more clearly. I'm eagerly looking to join an advertising agency or design studio that prides itself on high standards, a thorough process, and above all... truely unique ideas.
At the moment I am available for freelance design work in the above fields.
